1. Argue with LSAC? Slim chances of success. Maybe 0.001%. I looked at their website lsac.org, you can look, too. 2. Admission officers will look at LSAC review. Why? Because that's official. Student's annex will do no good. If your argument were to be valid, all students with Poor/Average ranking would add addendums explaininig LSAC's evaluation is wrong/unfair/or otherwise in error - when, in fact, they should all be superior. OP, give us more details on your grades. What you got, what is the maximum in your country (which is, btw?) and so on. We can discuss here and shoot our thoughts in an effort to help

You can first argue with LSAC. If it does not work, you may still attach an addendum to explain to the admissions officers.

What does Average stand for? Is it between Poor/Bad and Superior? If so, unfortunately they've reduced your chances, as most applicants (if not all) to these schools have outstanding GPAs (which translates into, I reasonably assume, Superior).

Hi guys, I know that this question has been answered a lot of times... Today I recieved my transcript evaluation by LSAC. I´ve got "Average" for my first degree in law (very disappointing), and "Superior" for my Master of Law (Regulatory Law). Is there ANY chance to get admitted by HLS, SLS or CLS? I´ve 2 years of experience in the public service, and before that I worked as an associate attorney in a big law firm for 2 years. Also, this 2012 I became the youngest law professor of one of my country most presigious universities. What do you think? Any chance at all?

even though grades are very important, I am pretty sure thats not all they are looking for.. as for ranking, schools in Brazil do not provide rankings, for example... and GPAs vary a lot from school to school (what is considered exceptional in one school is below avarage in the other). I have some friends that were certainly not the best in their classes and did not have the highest GPAs and still got into the best schools. Just try to improve your personal statement and other documents, as I said, grades are not the only thing they take into consideration. I agree 100% ... Thanks for this post -

How about grades? GPA more precisely. Your rank for the first degree is good, but not perfect. Top 10% or top 5% would have given you a Superior (I assume). Your LLM standing is much better. The others (work and teaching) look very good!

How do i view the evaluation of my transcripts? I have received an email from LSAC stating that the evaluation is complete. However, it does not mention the category i have been graded into.

Hi rhino12345, Try viewing the Law School Reports page under the "Apply" tab, on the upper right side you should see a link to your International transcript evaluation :) Good luck with your applications!

I am in the same boat. I am in my final year of study and have got till my 4th year, Cumulative GPA 7.69/8. My transcript evaluation is B (Above Average) . My rank statement is not included as it was sent later ( after 2 weeks ) by my University. I believed i would be given superior. Will updating my rank in the transcript evaluation report change it to "superior" ? My rank is 2/148 students. Is there any other solution? Please help me out with this.

Hi all, I recently had my transcript evaluated, and initially they translated the grading procedure from the UK in US terms wrong. I emailed them and asked for a re-evaluation, and had my University mail them an explanation of the grading system and my formal class rank. LSAC did the re-evaluation within about three weeks free of charge, updated my file for all law schools including my class ranking and new 'Superior' quality work which reflected my actual grades in an accurate manner. In short, it is well worth disputing the evaluation if you feel it doesn't truly reflect your grades as long as you have some information you can send in to them. Good luck!

my LSAC evaluation says superior. And I have applied to Upenn, GWU, Berkley and Georgetown. Should I apply to other colleges? I dont have work ex apart from internships. So I really want to know safe bets. I never understand these questions.. From my point of view, you should apply to the schools you want to go to and try to make your personal statement and recommendation letters as strong as you can. You will never know unless you try that, and unless you have some big money problem, i dont see why you shoulnt apply. I think it is kind of sad to only think of "safe bets". i know lots of people who got in top 5 schools and had only "aove the average" evaluations. If you have little work experience, explore your academics, extracurriculars, study grops, etc. Dont overthink this, you dont have much time left.
